THAILAND: Phi-Phi Island, June 2011

Took a day trip to Phi-Phi island from Phuket. Took a speed boat because we had heard nightmare stories about the ferry (too hot, too many people, not enough swimming time etc.). The speed boat was awesome. We passed the iconic rock islands.
And then made our way to PhiPhi beach. It was ok, but it was super crowded. We didn't really get to relax much there because our boat driver didn't want to get stuck in the mass of boats trying to pull in so we left and went to a different island...
Monkey Island!
Yaass!! I liked this island the best. They gave us bread and watermelon, which the monkeys really liked because apparently there is no fresh water on the island?? Somehow these creatures have adapted to be able to drink salt water. Anyways, the monkeys were super cute except one slapped me on the butt when I had no food left. It was pretty funny.
The other stops we made were to snorkel in a blue hole area....so pretty!!! And to another island where we got to lay out for a while and swim and eat our lunch.
Then back to the mainland!
